The Blue Dot Jawfish is a very beautiful showpiece jawfish. Blue Dot Jawfish have a mostly yellow body with strong metallic blue spots covering its entire body.

Blue Dot Jawfish reach a maximum adult size of around 4 inches and can be kept in tanks as small as 29 gallons. Blue Dot Jawfish also need to be kept in tanks with a tight fitting lid with no holes large enough for them to jump through. If a Blue Dot Jawfish get spooked, it will try to jump out of the tank. Blue Dot Jawfish are semi-aggressive fish and might become aggressive over its territory. Blue Dot Jawfish cannot defend themselves very well, so it is suggested that you keep them with no large aggressive fish.

Blue Dot Jawfish do best when they are kept in tanks with lots of live rock and a decent substrate for them to hide and burrow in. Blue Dot Jawfish will also pick at the sand to find small inverts to eat between feedings.

Blue Dot Jawfish are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, pieces of fresh seafood and high quality meaty frozen foods will keep your Blue Dot Jawfish happy and healthy.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about the Blue Dot Jawfish and if it's the right fish for your tank.

  • User ReviewsI purchased a Blue Dot Jawfish from Jordan awhile ago. Beautiful healthy fish. It is a wonderful fish. Loves to burrow under rocks. Ate almost immediately. Would buy again from Jordan. --ShelleyShelley Smith (Wyoming) - 5/16/2017 11:20:09 PM
