Description
The Favites Brain is a stunning brain coral that comes in a lot of vibrant colors from red to green. Favites Brains are found all over the world in most of the oceans as well. They get their name from their color resemblance to an animal’s brain.

Favites Brain corals can be kept in tanks as small as 10 gallons and are relatively hard and easy to keep. This makes them a great coral for beginner reef keepers. Favites Brains are considered aggressive corals and will sting neighboring corals. For this reason you must give plenty of room between Favites Brains and their neighboring corals. Also factor in enough room for them to grow.

Favites Brains can be placed just about anywhere in the tank and require both moderate water flow and lighting. They will not benefit from intense lighting and might actually show damage. It is best to place your Favites Brain coral in your desired location and then move it slightly after a few days if it doesn’t seem happy.

Favites Brain corals get most of their nutrition through the water column. If you add trace elements back to the water while dosing or from water changes, your Favites Brain will greatly benefit. Also adding meaty foods like baby brine shrimp or plankton to the tank will help your Favites Brain grow and thrive.
