  • Description
  • The Honeycomb Brain coral is a stunning and very colorful brain color. The Honeycomb Brain coral gets its name from how it looks like a brain as the coral grows with honeycomb patterns throughout.

Honeycomb Brain corals are extremely colorful and great corals for beginners to keep. Honeycomb Brains don’t require too much care to grow and thrive in your tank. They tend to get most of the nutrition they need through light in the tank and also food in the water column. If you need to supplement their diet, you can add small meaty items into the feedings later on in the day like baby brine shrimp.

Honeycomb Brain corals can be place at the bottom to the middle of the tank. They require both moderate lighting and flow rates to thrive. If you place a Honeycomb Brain in your desired location and it doesn’t look too good, you need to just simply move it slightly around until it looks happier. Adding trace elements to your water will also help the Honeycomb Brain coral thrive.

Honeycomb Brain corals are considered aggressive coral and will often sting neighboring coral if placed too close at night when its tentacles will extend and sting any coral in reach. Just make sure you provide enough room for the Honeycomb Brain to grow and expand.
