  • The Platygyra Brain Coral is a beautiful and interesting brain coral. Platygyra Brain Corals skeletons grow in a pattern that resembles a brain, hence the name. Platygyra Brain Corals come in a host of colors, so please make sure you are selecting the color you want when adding one to your cart. Platygyra Brain Corals will also glow when under your tanks actinic lights.

    Platygyra Brain Corals can be placed anywhere in the tank where they have both moderate flow and lighting. After you place your Platygyra Brain Coral in your desired location watch for signs of stress over a few days. If you see any signs of stress, simply move the coral slightly and watch for improvement.

    Platygyra Brain Corals are semi-aggressive corals and shouldn't be placed too close to their coral neighbors. Platygyra Brain Corals will send out sweeper tentacles and can cause other corals to recess and possibly perish. Take this into account, along with growth when placing your Platygyra Brain Coral.

    Platygyra Brain Corals should get most of their nutrition from the water column and through photosynthesis. If you would like to supplement your Platygyra Brain Corals diet, simply feed the tank small meaty foods like plankton or baby brine shrimp in the evening hours.
