  • Description
  • The Symphyllia Wilsoni is a stunning and colorful brain coral. Symphyllia Wilsoni corals grow in a shape that resembles a brain and are commons mostly red with green and bluish highlights. Symphyllia Wilsoni corals grow in an outward encrusting manner.

Symphyllia Wilsoni should be placed in the bottom to middle of your tank where they receive moderate lighting and low flow rates. After you have placed your Symphyllia Wilsoni, simply watch for any signs of stress. If you see that your Symphyllia Wilsoni is stressed, simply move it a few inches until it seems happier.

Symphyllia Wilsoni are semi-aggressive coral and will send out sweeper tentacles in the evening hours and attack nearby corals. For this reason, you need to make sure that your Symphyllia Wilsoni will not be able to reach its closest coral neighbor. Take this into account when placing your Symphyllia Wilsoni and also take into account the growth of the Symphyllia Wilsoni.

Symphyllia Wilsoni get most of their nutrition from photosynthesis as well as from the water column. If you would like to supplement its diet, simply add meaty foods like mysis and baby brine shrimp as well as micro-plankton to your tank in the evening hours. You can also spot feed your Symphyllia Wilsoni coral.
