  • Description
  • The Cup Coral is a very unique and interesting LPS (Large Polyp Stony) coral. Cup Corals grow in a very interesting manner and no two really look the same. Some Cup Corals can grow in the shape of a cup or be more folded over in nature.

Cup Corals should be placed in the bottom to middle portions of your aquarium and do best with moderate lighting and moderate to high flow rates. After you place your Cup Coral in your desired place, watch for signs of stress after a day or two. If no stress is seen, then it's in a good place, if signs of stress are present slightly move the coral until it looks happier.

Cup Corals are peaceful corals and shouldn't bother any corals they are close to. Cup Corals do have a fast rate of growth, so that must be taken into account when placing them in your tank.

Cup Corals do not need addition nutrition apart from your tanks water column, but if you feel like you want to supplement their diet, you can add mysis or brine shrimp as well as micro-plankton to your tank in the evening hours.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about the Cup Coral and if it's the coral for your tank.
