Description
The Elegance Coral is a very beautiful and elegant large polyp stony (LPS) coral. Elegance Coral have long stunning polyps that extend out from a central location. These polyps are extremely colorful and really pop under the intense lighting of reef tanks.

Elegance Corals are considered aggressive corals and will often sting neighboring corals at night when their tentacles come out. For this reason it is important that you provide lots of space between the Elegance Coral and its coral neighbors. This will also give the Elegance Coral room to grow. Elegance Coral have also been known to sting humans.

Unlike lots of coral, it is recommended that you don’t place Elegance Coral directly on hard live rock, since its underside can be damaged. It is better to place the base of the Elegance Coral on fine substrate. Elegance Coral should be placed lower in the tank and needs moderate lighting and low to moderate flow rates. If your Elegance Coral seems like it’s not happy and is retracted a lot, try moving it slightly until you see more polyp extension.

If you feel that your Elegance Coral isn’t getting enough nutrition from the water column and lighting, you can add food such as baby brine shrimp or micro-plankton to the tank in evening hours.
