  • Description
  • The Organ Pipe Coral is a stunning and very unique coral. Organ Pipe Corals have an intense orange or red skeleton with green to blue polyps. The polyps of the Organ Pipe Coral resemble those of star polyps.

Organ Pipe Corals can be placed anywhere in the tank and need moderate to high lighting and moderate water flow. After you have placed your Organ Pipe Coral, watch for any signs of stress. If you think your Organ Pipe Coral is stressed, simply move it a few inches and see if you get better polyp extension. Organ Pipe Corals will benefit from adding trace elements back into your tank either through water changes or dosing.

Organ Pipe Corals are peaceful corals and can be placed closely to their neighboring corals. More aggressive corals can aggravate your Organ Pipe Coral though. Also Organ Pipe Corals are not very durable corals, so make sure that they do not fall over, which could damage their skeleton.

Organ Pipe Corals get most of their nutrition through photosynthesis and the water column and do not require additional feedings. If you would like to supplement your Organ Pipe Corals diet, simply feed the tank small meaty foods in the evening with foods like plankton or baby brine shrimp.
