  • Description
  • The Stylophora Coral is a stunning and very colorful SPS (Small Polyp Stony) coral. Stylophora Coral grow in an upward branching manner. Stylophora Coral have very small polyps that come in a host of corals from green to pink.

Stylophora Corals should be placed in the middle to top of your aquarium and require moderate to high lighting and high water flow. Once you have placed your Stylophora Coral, watch for any signs of stress. If you see any signs of stress, simply move your Stylophora Coral a few inches and watch for signs of improvement.

Stylophora Corals are semi-aggressive corals that can sting neighbors that are too close to it. For the most part Stylophora Corals will not severely damage other corals, but it can cause them to recede. So take this into account when placing your Stylophora Coral. Stylophora Corals also need to be acclimated to harsh lighting or can bleach out if put under strong lighting to fast.

Stylophora Corals will get most of their nutrition through photosynthesis under intense lighting and through the water column. You can supplement the diet of your Stylophora Coral by feeding the tank with plankton or baby brine shrimp in the evening hours.
