The Bali Lunate Anthias is probably the most eye-catching and stunning of all the anthias species. Bali Lunate Anthias have a mostly pink body with red highlights as females, while the males develop strong purple markings and highlights.

Bali Lunate Anthias reach a maximum size of around 5 inches and can be kept in tanks that are at least 125 gallons. Bali Lunate Anthias do extremely well in smaller to medium sized groups of either all females or one male with numerous females. With the lack of a male, the dominant female will turn male. Two male Bali Lunate Anthias might fight with each other in smaller tanks.

Bali Lunate Anthias are reef safe fish and will not bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes the Bali Lunate Anthias an excellent choice for a reef aquarium. Bali Lunate Anthias should not be kept with larger more aggressive fish, since they do not defend themselves very well.

Bali Lunate Anthias are carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen and high quality flake and pellet foods will help your Bali Lunate Anthias grown and thrive in your tank.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about the Bali Lunate Anthias and if it’s the right fish for your system.
