The Evansi Anthias is a super bright and colorful anthias, perfect for a reef aquarium. They have a long slender body with the upper half being covered in yellow and bottom half in pink.

Evansi Anthias are very active fish that thrive in larger groups. Evansi Anthias grow to a maximum size of 4 inches and can be kept in tanks that are at least 90 gallons. If keeping more than one Evansi Anthias in your tank, you will need to have a slightly larger tank. Evansi Anthias are peaceful fish and will get along with most other fish. They should not be kept with large overly aggressive fish though.

Evansi Anthias when kept in groups need to have just one male in the group. If two males are in the same tank, they will fight. With the lack of a male, the dominant female will turn into a male. It is best to introduce multiple Evansi Anthias at the same time.

Evansi Anthias are reef safe fish and will not bother coral or inverts essential to keeping a healthy reef tank. Evansi Anthias are carnivores and need a diet rich in meaty foods. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, along with high quality flake food are great for Evansi Anthias. Evansi Anthias also need to be fed small amounts of food through the course of the day.

If you have any questions about the Evansi Anthias, and if it’s the right fish for you aquarium, please feel free to contact us at any time.
