The Orange Spotted Blenny is a very attractive and active blenny. Orange Spotted Blennies have a mostly white body with either red or orange markings on its face and vertical stripes along its body.

Orange Spotted Blennies reach a maximum adult size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons. Orange Spotted Blennies are known jumpers and should only be kept in tanks that have a tight fitting lid with no holes large enough to jump through. Orange Spotted Blennies are peaceful fish and shouldn't bother other fish in your tank. Orange Spotted Blennies might pick at some hard corals as well as some inverts, so only add a Orange Spotted Blenny to your reef tank under caution.

Orange Spotted Blennies will excel in tanks that have lots of live rock and substrate for them to go through grazing on algae between feedings. Orange Spotted Blennies are excellent algae eats and will spend most of their days grazing on algae off of the rocks. Rocks will also provide your Orange Spotted Blenny areas to hide if they feel threatened.

Orange Spotted Blennies are herbivores and require a diet that is rich in green foods. Foods like nori or marine algae sheets, spirulina and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Orange Spotted Blenny healthy and happy.

If you have any questions about the Orange Spotted Blenny and if it's the right fish for your tank, please feel free to contact us at any time.
