The Segmented Sailfin Blenny is a very unique and interesting blenny. Segmented Sailfin Blennies have a long and slender body that is mostly tan in color that fades to yellow at its tail. There are also lighter patterns going down its entire body.

Segmented Sailfin Blennies reach a maximum adult size of around 4 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons. Segmented Sailfin Blennies are mostly peaceful fish, but can be aggressive towards their own species. Segmented Sailfin Blennies will get along with other fish, coral and inverts in the tank though, which makes them excellent fish for reef tanks.

Segmented Sailfin Blennies do the best when in tanks with lots of establish live rock. Segmented Sailfin Blennies will spend their days going from rock to rock grazing on microalgae. Segmented Sailfin Blennies will also take cover in the rock work if they feel threatened.

Segmented Sailfin Blennies are herbivores and require a diet rich in green foods. Foods like nori, marine algae sheets, spirulina and high quality flake and pellet foods will ensure that your Segmented Sailfin Blenny stays healthy and thrives in your tank.
