The Bluestripe Clown is a large and fairly rare clownfish. Bluestripe Clownfish have a mostly brownish black body with strong bluish while vertical stripes and an orange head. Bluestripe Clowns have a yellow tail when found in Fiji and a white tail if found near the Marshall Islands.

Bluestripe Clownfish reach a maximum adult size of around 6 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Bluestripe Clowns are semi-aggressive fish and should get along with most fish, coral and inverts sound in reef tanks. Bluestripe Clownfish can be aggressive towards other clowns in smaller tanks.

Bluestripe Clownfish do extremely well when in a mated pair and will also look for an Anemone host. The anemone will provide safety to the Bluestripe Clowns from larger predators. Bluestripe Clownfish are immune to the sting of the anemone, while the large fish are not and will leave the clowns alone while they are in the anemone.

Bluestripe Clownfish are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality flake and pellet foods and high quality frozen foods will keep your Bluestripe Clown healthy and happy. Bluestripe Clownfish are aggressive eaters and are not picky when it comes to food.
