The Lightning Maroon Clownfish is a stunning and beautiful tank raised clownfish. Lightning Maroon Clownfish have a mostly deep maroon body with interesting white spider web like white markings that resemble lightning, hence their name.

Lightning Maroon Clownfish reach a maximum adult size of around 6 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 40 gallons in size. Lightning Maroon Clownfish are aggressive fish, but will not bother inverts or coral in your tank. This makes the Lightning Maroon Clownfish a great fish to add to reef tanks.

Lightning Maroon Clownfish can be aggressive towards other clownfish and damsels in smaller tanks. Lightning Maroon Clowns are also able to defend themselves against larger more aggressive fish. Lightning Maroon Clowns will often seek out an anemone to host them. The anemone provides protection to the clownfish from larger predatory fish that aren't immune to the sting of the anemone.

Lightning Maroon Clowns are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Lightning Maroon Clownfish healthy and thriving.

If you have any questions about the Lightning Maroon Clownfish and if it's the right clown for your tank, please feel free to contact us at any time.
