The Blue Sapphire Damselfish is a very interesting and hardy damsel. Blue Sapphire Damselfish have a mostly black body with strong blue markings and a white tail.

Blue Sapphire Damselfish reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons. Blue Sapphire Damselfish are semi-aggressive fish and shouldn't bother most fish, coral and inverts in your tank. Blue Sapphire Damselfish will become aggressive towards other damsels in smaller tank though.

As a Blue Sapphire Damselfish gets used to its tank it will have its own territory and be aggressive to other smaller and similar sized fish that venture into that space. This needs to be taken into account when adding a Blue Sapphire Damselfish to your tank.

Blue Sapphire Damselfish are carnivores and require a diet is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Blue Sapphire Damselfish healthy and happy.

If you have any questions about the Blue Sapphire Damselfish and if it's the right fish for your tank, please feel free to contact us at any time.
