• Damselfish Information
  • Damselfish are rather small and very hardy fish which are commonly used in newer aquariums. Since Damsels are so tough, they do well in the first months of a new system when parameters can fluctuate greatly. We do not recommend cycling a new aquarium with any fish though, since it is very hard on the fish.

Damselfish can be very territorial after being established, so think hard about adding them first to your tank, since they can harass new additions to the tank. Damsels are often well kept in a smaller group as well.

Damsels come in a host of colors, from white to yellows and blues and even might night black. Damselfish are often a nice way of adding relatively inexpensive colorful fish to your tank.

Below is our full list of Damselfish that we keep in our inventory. If you have any questions about a certain species of Damsel, or would like to know which Damselfish fits your tank the best, please feel free to contact us anytime.
