  • The Electric Blue Damsel is a truly stunning and colorful damselfish. Electric Blue Damsels have a mostly electric blue body with a yellow lower half.

    Electric Blue Damsels reach a maximum adult size of around 4 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons. Electric Blue Damsels are aggressive fish and will bother smaller to similar sized fish and new tank additions. They will not bother coral or inverts, so they are good fish to add to reef tanks.

    After establishing their territory, Electric Blue Damsels will defend it harshly to any fish that ventures into its space. For this reason, it is very important to think about the fish you'll be adding to your tank and what order. It is normally a better idea to add a Electric Blue Damsel to your tank later so it can't establish too much territory.

    Electric Blue Damsels are aggressive eaters and not picky about the food they will accept. Electric Blue Damsels are omnivores and require a diet with lots of greens and meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality pellet and flake foods will keep your Electric Blue Damsel healthy and happy.
