  • Description
  • The Snowflake Damsel is a stunning and very uniquely colored damselfish. Snowflake Damsels start are life mostly black juveniles with a bright white spot. As the Snowflake Damselfish ages the white spot grows until it fill the majority of its body.

    Snowflake Damsels reach a maximum adult size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons. Snowflake Damsels are semi-aggressive fish that shouldn't bother most other fish, coral on inverts in your tank. This makes Snowflake Damselfish a great addition to reef tanks.

    Snowflake Damsels can be aggressive towards other damsels and clownfish in smaller tanks, defending their territories fiercely. In larger tanks, Snowflake Damsels should fine with most other fish. Snowflake Damsels have also been known to be aggressive to new additions in tanks as well, so plan your stocking order out well.

    Snowflake Damsels are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Snowflake Damselfish healthy and thriving.
