  • The Yellow Damsel is a very colorful and active little damsel. Yellow Damsels have a mostly yellow body with some blue markings on their fins.

    Yellow Damsels reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Yellow Damsels are semi-aggressive fish and shouldn't bother most fish, coral and inverts in your tank. This makes the Yellow Damsel a great fish to add to reef tanks. Yellow Damsels are also very hardy fish and are good choices for beginner aquarists.

    Yellow Damsels might be aggressive and territorial to some other damsels and clownfish in smaller tanks. Yellow Damsels might also be aggressive towards new fish introduced to your tank, so take this into consideration when adding a Yellow Damsel to your tank. Small groups of Yellow Damsels in larger tanks will add a lot of color and activity to your tank.

    Yellow Damsels are omnivores and also very aggressive and not picky eaters. Green and meaty foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Yellow Damsel healthy and happy.
