The Orange Banded Goby is a very colorful and cute smaller goby. Orange Banded Gobies have a mostly white body with strong red and orange vertical stripes.

Orange Banded Gobies only reach a maximum adult size of around 1 inch and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 10 gallons in size. Orange Banded Gobies are extremely peaceful fish and will not bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes them a great addition to reef tanks. Orange Banded Gobies should not be kept with larger more aggressive fish since they cannot defend themselves well.

Orange Banded Gobies are very shy fish and will do best in tanks with lots of hiding places. Live rock will provide them the best places to hide and also be a source of small inverts for them to eat between feedings. Orange Banded Gobies will spend most of their time in the sand bed looking for small inverts to eat as well.

Orange Banded Gobies are carnivores and need a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp as well as high quality meaty frozen foods will keep your Orange Banded Goby healthy and happy.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about the Orange Banded Goby and if it's the right goby for your tank.
