The Orange Spotted Goby is a very pretty and colorful goby. Orange Spotted Gobies have a long and slender body that is mostly white with lots of bright orange spots on it.

Orange Spotted Gobies reach a maximum size of around 4 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 10 gallons. Orange Spotted Gobies are peaceful to most fish, coral and inverts making them a good choice for reef tanks. Orange Spotted Gobies might be aggressive to other gobies on smaller tanks though.

Orange Spotted Gobies form a symbiotic relationship with some shrimp as well. The Orange Spotted Goby and the shrimp will share a burrow and their relationship is truly fascinating to watch in your aquarium. Orange Spotted Gobies are also very strong jumpers and need to be kept in tanks that have a tight fitting lid with no holes large enough for them to jump through if spooked. Plenty of live rock should be in the tank as well, so the Orange Spotted Goby can hide if they feel threatened.

Orange Spotted Gobies are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen meaty foods and small pieces of fresh seafood will keep your Orange Spotted Goby happy and healthy.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about the Orange Spotted Goby and if it's the right fish for your tank.
