The Coral Hogfish is a uniquely colored and interested hogfish. As a juvenile the Coral Hogfish are a reddish color with various yellow spots. Coral Hogfish end up having a black front half and a yellow back half.

Coral Hogfish reach a fully mature size of 10 inches and need a tank of at least 75 gallons to be happy. The Coral Hogfish is a bad fish to add to a reef tank since it will eat inverts such as shrimp, works, small fish and snails. Coral Hogfish are known to be bullies and can stress out and attack more non-aggressive fish.

The Coral Hogfish is a carnivore and needs a diet rich in meaty foods to thrive. Food such as mysis and brine shrimp, frozen meaty foods, fresh cut up seafood and feeder shrimp will help keep your Coral Hogfish healthy and flourish in your tank. With the right tank mates and nutrition, the Coral Hogfish can be a great addition to your FOWLR tank.
