Description
The Lined Seahorse is a very stunning and playful seahorse. Lined Seahorses have a mostly tan body with strong horizontal brown stripes and black and brown markings on their faces.

Lined Seahorses reach a maximum adult size that is around 6 inches and needs to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons. Lined Seahorses are very peaceful fish and shouldn't bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. For that reason, Lined Seahorses make a good addition to reef tanks with peaceful inhabitants and low flow rates.

Lined Seahorses should only be kept with other peaceful fish that are very peaceful eaters. Fish like pipefish and other seahorses make good tankmates. Lined Seahorses are terrible to be kept with aggressive fish like triggers that will harass them. Lined Seahorses will thrive in tanks with low flow rates and lots of decorations that they can affix their tails to like grasses, coral and rocks.

Lined Seahorses are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Lined Seahorses should eat frozen foods like mysis and brine shimp. Feeder shrimp and live pods should also help your Lined Seahorse get used to life in your tank.
