The Blueline Trigger is one of the most stunning of all the triggerfish. Blueline Triggers have a mostly gold body with various electric blue stripes and markings.

Blueline Triggers can reach a maximum adult size of around 22 inches and need to be kept in tanks no smaller than 220 gallons. Blueline Triggers are aggressive fish and are not well suited for reef tanks. Blueline Triggers will eat smaller fish and inverts found in reef systems.

Blueline Triggers are best housed in semi-aggressive to aggressive FOWLR tanks where they have plenty of room to swim. It is also very important to add lots of live rock for Blueline Triggers to swim through and hide in if they feel nervous or spooked.

Blueline Triggers are carnivores and need a diet very rich in meaty foods. Foods such as mysis shrimp and chunks of high quality seafood are best for keeping Blueline Triggers healthy and happy. Seafood like clams, squid, fish and shrimp are great for Blueline Triggers.

Please feel free to contact us at any time with any questions you might have about the Blueline Trigger and if it’s the right fish for you tank.
