The Waratah Anemone is a stunning and colorful smaller anemone found around Australia and New Zealand. Waratah Anemones have a small fiery red body.

Waratah Anemones reach a maximum adult size of just under 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 10 gallons in size. Waratah Anemones are semi-aggressive anemones and shouldn't bother too many other inverts, coral or fish in your tank. Waratah Anemones have the ability to eat other anemones, so take that into consideration when adding a Waratah Anemone to your reef tank.

Waratah Anemones can be kept in groups if they are from the same parent anemone, otherwise offspring of different Waratah Anemones will kill each other when in smaller spaces. Waratah Anemones will need to be kept in tanks with lots of live rock for them to search for the perfect place on.

Waratah Anemones are carnivores and require I diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and small pieces of fresh seafood can be fed to your Waratah Anemone. You can also spot fed Waratah Anemones if you want to make sure they are getting the nutrition they require.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about the Waratah Anemone and if it's the right anemone for your tank.
