The Zanzibar Coral Banded Shrimp is a stunning and very colorful shrimp. Zanzibar Coral Banded Shrimp have a mostly white body with strong red bands and their upper body is yellowish gold.

Zanzibar Coral Banded Shrimp reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Zanzibar Coral Banded Shrimp are peaceful shrimp and shouldn't bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. Zanzibar Coral Banded Shrimp should be kept with other similar species shrimp though. Also it is possible for a Zanzibar Coral Banded Shrimp to bother other smaller inverts. This makes the Zanzibar Coral Banded Shrimp a good addition to most reef tanks.

Zanzibar Coral Banded Shrimp spend most of their time eating leftover foods in your tank. In the wild they have also been known to eat parasites off of some fish, but it isn't as common for them to do this in captivity.
