  • Description
  • The Tiger Brittle Starfish is an interesting and colorful small starfish. Tiger Brittle Starfish have a mostly tan body with strong brown stripes along its arms. Tiger Brittle Starfish also have small spikes on each of their arms that help them find food.

Tiger Brittle Starfish reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Tiger Brittle Starfish are peaceful starfish and shouldn't bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes the Tiger Brittle Starfish a great addition to reef tanks.

Tiger Brittle Starfish will do best when kept in tanks with lots of live rock for them to hide in during the day. Tiger Brittle Starfish are nocturnal and will roam the tank at night looking for leftover food to eat. This makes the Tiger Brittle Starfish a great addition to your clean up crew.

Tiger Brittle Starfish are omnivores and require a diet rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality pellet and flake foods will keep your Tiger Brittle Starfish healthy and happy. Tiger Brittle Starfish will get most of their food from your tank though, feeding them is only supplemental and not required.
