  • Description
  • The Fox Coral is a very elegant and relatively easy to care for large polyp stony (LPS) coral. Fox Coral are mostly a combination of green, pink and white in appearance.

Fox Corals have extremely large polyps that can be many times larger than their bodies. Fox Corals need to be handled with care since their polyps can easily be damaged. Fox Corals should be placed in an area where they have plenty of room to grow and shouldn't be placed next to overly aggressive neighbor corals.

Fox Coral should be placed near the bottom of the aquarium on your substrate, it is not recommended that they be placed on rocks, since they are so delicate. Fox Coral do the best when given low water flow and low to moderate lighting. Place the coral in its desired location, and if you don't observe full polyp extension after a few days, try moving the coral slightly until you see the desired extension.

Fox Corals are carnivores and will get most of their needed nutrition through the water column. You can supplement its nutritional needs with feeding small foods like baby brine shrimp in the evening hours if you feel it's needed.
