  • Description
  • The Galaxea Coral is a very colorful and beautiful LPS (Large Polyp Stony) coral. Galaxea Coral tend to be either green or purple in color and have long milky white tentacles.

Galaxea Coral are considered aggressive corals which will sting its nearby neighbors. Galaxea Corals have tentacles that can extend several inches in every direction. For this reason, you must give plenty of space between your Galaxea Coral and other coral in the tank. Also account for room for your Galaxea Coral to grow.

Galaxea Coral require moderate to high lighting and moderate water flow. They can be placed at any height in your tank as well. If you see that your Galaxea Coral is retracted most of the day, then try to move it slightly and observe. When it seems that during the daylight hours, your Galaxea Coral has its polyps out, then you have found a location that is good for it.

Galaxea Coral might also need some additional feedings to keep happy and thriving. Adding some baby brine shrimp or plankton to the tank in the evening hours will help your Galaxea Coral grown and thrive.
