  • Description
  • The Grape Coral is a very colorful and elegant LPS (Large Polyp Stony) coral. Grape Corals have large polyps that grow close to each other and resemble grapes on a vine. Grape Corals come in various colors, but are most commonly found in green, purple and tan. Please make sure you select the color you desire when adding a Grape Coral to your cart.

Grape Corals should be placed in the bottom to middle of your tank and need both moderate water flow and lighting. After you have placed your Grape Coral, watch for any signs of stress. If you see that your Grape Coral is stressed, simply move it a few inches until you see improvement.

Grape Corals are aggressive corals that will send out sweeper tentacles and attack their nearby coral neighbors. For this reason, make sure that you give enough space between your newly placed Grape Coral and its coral neighbors. Remember that Grape Coral can grow rather large and their sweeper tentacles are extend far into the tank.

Grape Corals get a lot of nutrition from photosynthesis and also through the water column. If you would like to supplement the diet of your Grape Coral, simply feed the tank meaty foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods or micro-plankton to the tank in the evening hours.
