  • Ricordea Mushroom Coral are truly some of the most stunning coral available for your reef aquarium. Their range of colors is amazing and spans all the colors of the rainbow.

    The colors of Ricordea Mushrooms get even more interesting when placed under actinic lighting. Also depending on the type and intensity of the lighting used in your aquarium, colors can vary even more. Ricordea Mushrooms will often attach to rock in your tank as well. Glue or string can be used to help the Ricordea Mushroom get a foothold on a rock, and after a week or so, the Ricordea Mushroom should be attached.

    Ricordea Mushrooms like low water flow and low to moderate lighting. You must take a lot of care when first introducing Ricordea Mushrooms to your tank. They should be placed in an area of extremely low light until they coral seems happy and fully open. After that time, try moving the coral into more and more intense lighting over the course of a few days until the desired location is found.

    Ricordea Mushrooms get most of their nutrition from photosynthesis, but adding brine and mysis shrimp to your normal tank feedings will allow your Ricordea Mushrooms to get more nutrients.
