  • The Eagle Eye Zoanthid is a stunning polyp coral. Eagle Eye Zoanthids have a mostly reddish orange and purple interior with green tentacles.

    Eagle Eye Zoanthids do best when placed in the middle to the top of the aquarium. Eagle Eye Zoas like moderate lighting and moderate water flow. Eagle Eye Zoanthids are pretty easy to care for and a good coral for beginner reef keepers. Eagle Eye Zoanthids attach themselves to live rock and over time will reproduce and completely encrust the rock. This behavior allows Eagle Eye Zoanthid to form an underwater garden popular with many reef keepers.

    Eagle Eye Zoanthids are semi-aggressive and will sting nearby coral neighbors. Eagle Eye Zoanthids normally will not kill other corals with their stings, but can be irritating to them. For this reason and also their encrusting nature, you must pay attention to where you place your Eagle Eye Zoanthid and how it will grow in the future.

    Eagle Eye Zoas get most of their nutrition from your reef's light source but you can also supplement their diet with meaty foods. Foods like mysis and baby brine shrimp as well as micro-plankton will keep your Eagle Eye Zoanthids happy and healthy. Adding trace elements to your tank with either water changes or dosing will also help your Eagle Eye Zoanthids.
