    The Blueline Angelfish(Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis) is an incredible angelfish that is only available in the trade during certain seasons, and is not common in the aquarium hobby. C. septentrionalis can be kept in reef aquariums, and is quite hardy once acclimated to captive life.

    The Blueline Angelfish has a bright yellow streak right behind the eyes as a juvenile, as well as the brilliant blue curved lines that it is recognized for. However, once the fish transitions to an adult, the yellow streak disappears, but the face of the fish gets a yellow hue, and keeps its yellow tail.

    The Blueline Angelfish has a max size of around 8.5”, and will thrive in tanks of 150 gallons or larger. This fish will do better with tankmates on the peaceful side, and will soon establish itself in the pecking order.

    The Blueline Angelfish is an omnivore, a a meaty frozen food will entice it to eat, and algae based foods or Nori will help the fish thrive.
