  • Description
  • The Dispar Anthias in a stunning colorful anthias that does extremely well in large schools. The male Dispar Anthias has a mostly orange body with yellow highlights, while the females have a more yellow and lavender coloration.

    The Dispar Anthias reaches a full size of around 4 inches, so they can be housed in an aquarium as small as 55 gallons. If you would like a large school of females with a single male, it is suggested you have a tank at least 125 gallons in size.

    When there is a lack of a male, the most dominant female Dispar Anthias can change sex to a male to lead the school. In larger tanks, it is a real pleasure to see a huge school of colorful Dispar Anthias darting around the tank together.

    As carnivores, Dispar Anthias require several meals per day of meaty foods. Dispar Anthias will thrive with a diet rich in mysis shrimp, brine shrimp and will also eat flake food over time. Having a system rich in copepods will also help your Dispar Anthias thrive.
