  • The Royal Gramma Basslet is a super colorful and peaceful reef fish. Royal Gramma Basslets have a body that is vibrant purple in the front and bright yellow in the back.

    Royal Gramma Basslets reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Royal Gramma Basslets are peaceful fish, but might be territorial and aggressive towards other basslets. Royal Gramma Basslets should not bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank, making them a great fish for reef tanks.

    Royal Gramma Basslets are found in deeper waters, so they need to have caves to hide in and be protected from the harsh lights found in our reef tanks. Royal Gramma Basslets will also be able to get away from more aggressive fish by darting into the rock work. Between feedings Royal Gramma Basslets will also pick at the rocks for small inverts.

    Royal Gramma Basslets are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Royal Gramma Basslet happy and healthy.
