  • The Yellow Assessor is a stunning and very colorful basslet. Yellow Assessors have a long and slender body that is mostly covered completely in yellow. Yellow Assessors have a reddish orange mark through their eyes and along their fins.

    Yellow Assessors reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Yellow Assessors are mostly peaceful fish and shouldn't bother other fish, coral or inverts. This makes them a great choice for reef tanks. Yellow Assessor Basslets can be aggressive to some other species of basslet though. So if you plan on keeping multiple Yellow Assessor Basslets, you should have a larger tank.

    Yellow Assessor Basslets are shy fish and should be kept in tanks with lots of live rock for them to hide in. If provided enough areas to hide, Yellow Assessor Basslets can be a great addition to your tank.

    Yellow Assessors are carnivores and need to be fed a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality flake and pellet foods and high quality meaty foods should keep your Yellow Assessor healthy and happy.
