The Barnacle Blenny is a very fun and entertaining fish to have in your reef aquarium. The Barnacle Blenny stays very small, so can be kept in most tanks, but have a ton of personality to make up for their small size.

The Barnacle Blenny only reaches a fully grown adult size of 2 inches, so they can be kept in such small aquariums as 20 gallons. The Barnacle Blenny is a very shy and non-aggressive fish, so they can be kept together with similar species. The Barnacle Blenny should not be kept with large or aggressive fish, since they could make a quick snack to larger fish.

An aquarium with lots of rock are recommended for the Barnacle Blenny. The Barnacle Blenny will spend most of its day hidden in rocks, darting out every now and then to grab a bite to eat. They will quickly return to their hole to keep away from larger fish.

The Barnacle Blenny needs a diet rich in meaty foods, since they are carnivores. Smaller foods such as mysis and brine shrimp are perfect foods for the Barnacle Blenny. With the right diet and environment, a Barnacle Blenny should really thrive in your tank.
