  • Description
  • The Pink Banded Blenny is a rarely seen and unique blenny. Pink Banded Blennies have a long slender body that is mostly brown with pink markings around its face.

Pink Banded Blennies reach a maximum adult size of around 7 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 75 gallons in size. Pink Banded Blennies are strong jumpers and should only be kept in tanks with tight fitting lids with no holes large enough for them to jump through if spooked. Pink Banded Blennies are semi-aggressive fish and might be aggressive over territories to other blennies. If you want to keep multiple Pink Banded Blennies one tank, make sure the tank is fairly large.

Pink Banded Blennies should not bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank, which makes them a good choice for reef tanks. Since they can eat some inverts, you might want to proceed with some caution if adding one to a reef tank. Pink Banded Blennies prefer to be kept in tanks with lots of live rock and sand for them to pick small inverts out of and scavenge in.

Pink Banded Blennies are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both green and meaty foods. Foods like nori and marine algae sheets, mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Pink Banded Blenny healthy and happy.
