  • The Redlip Blenny is a stunning and interesting blenny. Redlip Blennies have a mostly reddish brown body with strong vertical white stripes and markings on its face. Redlip Blennies also tend to get darker the older they get.

    Redlip Blennies reach a maximum adult size of around 6 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Redlip Blennies are strong jumpers and should only be kept in tanks that have a tight fitting lid with no holes large enough for them to jump through if spooked. Redlip Blennies are semi-aggressive fish, but shouldn't bother many other fish, coral or inverts in your tank.

    Redlip Blennies can be kept in small groups and with other blennies in larger tanks. In smaller tanks Redlip Blennies might be aggression towards other blennies. Redlip Blennies will thrive in tanks with lots of live rock for them to graze on algae between feedings.

    Redlip Blennies are herbivores and require a diet that is rich in green foods. Foods like nori or marine algae sheets, high quality flake and pellet foods and mysis and brine shrimp will keep your Redlip Blenny healthy and thriving.
