  • Description
  • The Camel Cowfish is a stunning and large cowfish. Camel Cowfish are mostly yellowish tan in color and have very interesting darker markings on their bodies. Camel Cowfish also have hard protrusions that looks like horns coming out of their heads.

    Camel Cowfish reach a maximum adult size of around 21 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 240 gallons. Camel Cowfish are peaceful fish and won't bother most fish, coral or inverts in your tank. Camel Cowfish might eat some worms, so add one to your reef tank with caution. Camel Cowfish will not get along with other cowfish in your tank as well.

    Camel Cowfish are very peaceful fish and should be introduced early to the aquarium and shouldn't be kept with aggressive fish or overly aggressive eaters. When the Camel Cowfish gets stressed it can release a toxin into the tank which could hurt other inhabitants in the tank.

    Camel Cowfish are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty and green foods. Foods like nori and marine algae sheets, mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality pellet and flake foods will keep your Camel Cowfish healthy and happy.
