  • The Lemon Chromis is a very attractive and active little chromis. Lemon Chromis have a mostly silver body with yellow coloration from their heads to the top of their bodies. Lemon Chromis also have yellow fins.

    Lemon Chromis reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Lemon Chromis are semi-aggressive fish that shouldn't bother too many other fish, coral and inverts in your tank. This makes them a great addition to reef tanks. Lemon Chromis are also very hardy fish, which makes them a good addition for beginner aquarists.

    Lemon Chromis can be aggressive towards other chromis and damsels in smaller tanks. To help curve this aggression, try adding your chromis or damsels together at the same time and try to keep them in a larger tank. Lemon Chromis also tend to show schooling behavior in larger tanks. A small group of schooling Lemon Chromis will add an amazing dash of color to most tanks.

    Lemon Chromis are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods should keep your Lemon Chromis healthy and happy.
