The Clarkii Clownfish is a very colorful and hardy clownfish. Clarkii Clownfish start life as mostly orange fish with three strong vertical white bands. Over time as the Clarkii Clownfish ages, the orange gives way to black.

Clarkii Clownfish reach a maximum adult size around 6 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 40 gallons in size. Clarkii Clownfish are semi-aggressive fish that shouldn't bother too many other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. Clarkii Clownfish will do great in reef tanks for this reason.

Clarkii Clownfish do extremely well in pairs, and can even be kept in small groups and with other clownfish and damsels in larger tanks. Clarkii Clownfish are very hardy fish, making them a great fish for beginner aquarists. Clarkii Clownfish will sometimes look for a host anemone that will keep them safe from larger more aggressive fish that are not immune to its sting like the clownfish are.

Clarkii Clownfish are aggressive eaters and not picky about their foods. Clarkii Clownfish are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Clarkii Clownfish healthy and happy.

If you have any questions about the Clarkii Clownfish and if it's the right fish for your tank, please feel free to contact us at any time.
