  • The Picasso Clown is one of the most sought after most beautiful of all the clownfish. Picasso Clownfish are captive bred from one original male found in 2004.

    Picasso Clownfish have an orange body with heavy black and white markings. Behind its head is a thick white stripe, behind the strip will be various large blobs of black and white coloration. Picasso Clowns are similar to other clownfish, and do best in mated pairs. They will show aggression to other clownfish in smaller tanks.

    Picasso Clowns reach a maximum adult size of around three inches and can be kept in tank as small as 20 gallons. Picasso Clown normally stay in one area of the tank and will often host in suitable anemones, which provide them protection from large more aggressive fish. Picasso Clowns are considered reef safe and will not bother coral or inverts found in a reef tank.

    Picasso Clowns are omnivores and prefer meaty foods. Picasso Clownfish are not picky eaters and will eat most foods offered to them. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, frozen foods and quality pellet and flake foods will help your Picasso Clown thrive.
