  • The True Percula Clownfish is one of the most popular and sought after of all the clownfish. True Percula Clownfish have a mostly orange body with three strong white vertical stripes. Parts of the True Percula Clownfish body is also covered in black.

    True Percula Clownfish reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and can be kept in tanks as small as 20 gallons. True Percula Clownfish are semi-aggressive fish and will be aggressive towards other clownfish and damsels in smaller tanks. Most other fish, coral and inverts will not be bothered by the True Percula Clownfish, making it a great fish for reef tanks.

    True Percula Clownfish are not very good at defending themselves from larger predators, so they will seek out host anemones that will sting larger fish trying to harm them. The True Percula Clownfish is immune to the sting of the amenome.

    True Percula Clownfish are aggressive eaters and not picky when it comes to food. True Percula Clownfish are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen food and high quality pellet and flake foods will keep your True Percula Clownfish healthy and thriving.
