The Blue Gudgeon Dartfish is a stunning all blue dartfish from the Indo-Pacific Ocean. They are an excellent addition to most reef and FOWLR tanks.

Blue Gudgeon Dartfish reach a full grown adult of around 5 inches, and need a tank of around 40 gallons to be happy. The body of the Blue Gudgeon Dartfish are a dark blue which can fade to almost white on their bellies. Blue Gudgeon Dartfish do very well when kept in pairs.

The Blue Gudgeon Dartfish requires some sort of sand in the aquarium to burrow into. Blue Gudgeon Dartfish are also known as jumpers. If spooked or unhappy, the Blue Gudgeon Dartfish will try to jump through any opening in your tank covering, so it is important to have a tight fitting top with no holes small enough for the Blue Gudgeon Dartfish to jump though.

Blue Gudgeon Dartfish are reef safe and will not bother other fish, coral or inverts. They are carnivores and need a diet rich in meaty foods to thrive. Mysis and brine shrimp are excellent food sources for a Blue Gudgeon Dartfish, as well as mixed frozen marine food.

All fish purchases come with a package of Blue Life Safety Stop to help reduce infections and illnesses that could present themselves. Please read more about Safety Stop here…
