The Neon Dottyback is a stunning blue and orange smaller reef fish. Neon Dottybacks have an orange body with its head and upper body covered in dark blues and black.

Neon Dottybacks reach a maximum adult size of 4 inches, and require a tank of around 29 gallons to be happy. The Neon Dottyback is a good fish for semi-aggressive and aggressive tank mates, since it can be aggressive to smaller more docile fish.

The Neon Dottyback is considered reef safe since it does not bother corals or most inverts. The Neon Dottyback can eat smaller shrimp though. Neon Dottybacks are very good at removing an problems you might have with bristleworms as well.

Neon Dottybacks are carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods to stay healthy. We recommend foods such as brine and mysis shrimp as well as various frozen marine foods to keep your Neon Dottyback happy and help it thrive in your aquarium.
