  • The Splendid Dottyback is a stunning and super colorful dottyback. Splendid Dottybacks have a mostly blue body with a bark mask over its eyes and a yellow mouth. Splendid Dottybacks also have rows of many yellow dots along its body, as well as a yellow tail.

    Splendid Dottybacks reach a maximum size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Splendid Dottybacks are pretty much considered reef safe and will leave most coral, fish and inverts alone. It might eat the smallest of shrimp though. Splendid Dottybacks can be aggressive to other dottyback and will often be territorial to even larger more aggressive fish.

    Since Splendid Dottybacks are carnivores they require a diet rich in meaty foods. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality pellet and flake foods will help your Splendid Dottyback grow and thrive in your tank.
