The Orchid Dottyback is a stunning purple and pink smaller reef fish that is perfect for most reef aquariums. Orchid Dottybacks have amazing purple and pink coloration along their slender long bodies, and are guaranteed to add a splash of color to your tank.

The Orchid Dottyback reaches a maximum size of around 3 inches as an adult, and needs a tank no smaller than 29 gallons to thrive. Orchid Dottybacks are reef safe fish that will not bother other fish, coral or inverts. They might chase other fish out of small areas that they consider their territories though.

Some people have reported that Orchid Dottybacks have been effective in controlling bristleworm problems. This isn’t fact, and really comes down to the personality of the individual fish and its tastes.

The Orchid Dottyback is a carnivore and requires a diet rich in meaty foods. Great foods to offer your Orchid Dottyback include mysis and brine shrimp as well as other mixed frozen marine foods.
