The Bella Goby is a fairly recently discovered species of goby. Bella Gobies were first found off of Japan and are commonly found in pairs. Recently they have also been found in the Philippines.

Bella Gobies are by no means common and their high price for a goby reflects that. Bella Gobies are mostly found in pairs and are also best kept as a pair.

The Bella Goby has a mostly silver to white body with strong red and pink colorations. Bella Gobies also have yellow heads as well as fins. Strong blue markings are also found on their head. Under their chins is a strong black stripe.

Bella Gobies are peaceful fish that will get along with most of the fish, coral and inverts found in your reef tank. Bella Gobies tend to max out at around six inches in size.

A downside as well as a positive to Bella Gobies, as of most gobies, is their knack to filter and move substrate around. This is a positive because it helps keep your sand clean, but they can also scatter sand all around your tank, including on top of your coral. Keep this is mind when adding a Bella Goby to your tank.

Bella Gobies are carnivores and do best in tanks that have a healthy amount of pods, but they will accept brine and mysis shrimp as well as quality meaty frozen foods. Make sure that your tank has a lid or canopy since Bella Gobies are known jumpers.

If you have any questions about the Bella Goby and if it's the right goby for your tank, please feel free to contact us with any questions.
